Dew, I think is a fairly new duo. Their songs sound like a cross between Ayaka (her slower songs), Angela Aki and most of all Kiroro. I'm sure they were heavily influenced by Kiroro. Anyway I tried listening to their album after hearing this beautiful rendition of Hikki's Sakura Drops.

Been hearing this song many times on the radio. The first time I heard it I immediately thought about Utada Hikaru. The style is very Hikki isn't it? Especially the part that goes 'I hate this part right here'..

I love the song I Love You by Yutaka Ozaki. When I first heard it sung by Utada Hikaru I wasn't aware of it being quite an old song.. an important one at that. I just can't get enough of it. It has a timeless melody, beautiful lyrics and somehow sad with a tinge of loneliness. It becomes even sadder still to find out that the original singer is no ( Read more... )

I don't really like the A-side songs for the new Hikki single, nor their PVs. Both are good songs but just lack a certain something.. I dunno. Kiss & Cry is pretty catchy. More songs need to have have Diet! Diet! and Cup Noodle! Cup Noodle! in the lyrics.. lol.
